Shimmer is a shiny lavender liquid found in the Aether, a mini-biome that spawns once in the Underground or Cavern layers and always on the same side of the world as the Jungle. It cannot be fished or picked up with a bucket, but it can be pumped, and after defeating the Moon Lord you can craft a Bottomless Shimmer Bucket to place endless Shimmer. If you lay down 300 or more Shimmer tiles in the Underground or Cavern, you create an artificial Aether biome with a starry background and Faelings in the area.
