To romance Abigail you must raise her friendship: get to 8 hearts, purchase a Bouquet to indicate romantic interest, then continue building to 10 hearts. Once you have 10 hearts and have upgraded your farmhouse at least once, visit the Old Mariner on a rainy day (the east side of the beach) and buy the Mermaid’s Pendant for 5,000g; give it to Abigail to become engaged and the wedding is scheduled three days later.
