More info

Familiars in Hades 2 are five animal companions you can recruit and customize to support Melinoë at night: Frinos (the frog), Toula (the cat), Raki (the raven), Hecuba (the dog), and Gale (the polecat). You unlock them after learning the Faith of Familiar Spirits incantation from Hecate and bonding with each via Witch’s Delight at the Crossroads. Each familiar grants distinct passive bonuses and combat utility (e.g., Frinos improves max life and shade gathering, Raki increases crit potential, Toula boosts fishing-related effects, Hecuba enhances magick and digging, Gale contributes other buffs). They also feature three Bond abilities you can upgrade three times, using Witch’s Delight treats in the Crossroads’ training area. For a structured upgrade, you feed them treats to raise their Bond ranks and tailor their role to your chosen weapons.
